An Applied Mathematicians’ Storytelling Event

SIAM Annual 2025

Organizers

Description

This storytelling event invites applied mathematicians from all career stages to share and connect through personal narratives. Professional spaces often emphasize technical achievements, leaving little room for the unique stories that shape who we are. By shifting the focus from mathematics to mathematicians, we hope to foster an intimate and supportive environment that celebrates diverse experiences and trajectories.

This event is sponsored by the SIAG on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

This event will occur at the SIAM Annual 2025 Meeting in Montreal (MS 190). Thursday, July 31 from 8:00 - 10:00pm
